Fantastic weathering job Rodolfo. Those Ostketten tracks look terrific on your Stug. Great work. Bill

Thanks friend!. Yes, this is an "express-build",hee,hee.

I decided to paint it as Eastern Front version. This because some factory yellow hetzers were school trainers and were rushed to the Eastern Front and received a white wash.

I love the finish you put on this. I think you might have gone a bit overboard on the soot on the gun muzzle. You also might want to get a thin brush and darken the inside of the driver's view port. In the 1st photo it really stands out.

Educate me but I was under the impression that ALL F/8's had 30 mm thick plates of additional armor bolted on to the front.

This is missing that feature?

Other than that, an impressive model.

It looks like the extra armor is there, but seems to be welded on, instead of bolted. You can see the way the front plates are built up around the tow pintles.

That's why I hi-lighted BOLTED as I have never seen it welded on.

I can see the armor plating there.

The early hulls had it welded on, but they switched to bolts to save production time.

Actually, your question does raise the point of whether this is even an F8. It looks like a regular F model. The F8 was the first model to use the Mk III hull which meant the tow pintles would not be there. Also, the rear deck is still the old one, too (the engine vents are turned wrong, among other things).
