An excellent resource for the Smells Like A Jeep, etc. Campaign going on now! I had been considering a "Follow Me" jeep, maybe an even flashier one, but these photos will be a big help.
Matthew, thanks for posting! (The owner didn't look too friendly, but probably staying in character.)

Thanks a million for sharing! That's a inspirational source to make an unusual 1/35 Willys

Many of these "Follow Me" jeeps were fitted with radio equipment (SCR-522 or SCR-542) for air-ground coordination or airfield management.

Cool pics, thanks for sharing. Now who's going to build the new 1/32 b-24, or b-17 (when it comes out) following the follow me jeep down the runway. The radio sets are available in P.E.. just don't remember who released them. Good excuse for me to P/U the b-17.

Minor Models has released some radio sets fot the jeep, but I'm not sure these would be OK for a "Follow Me" version...

The kit AVM3504 is a good representation of the transmitter and the receiver used in many WWII airfield jeeps. These were often enclosed in a box across the back of the jeep under the canvas. Much of the side detail will be hidden.
I have no connection with Minor and built my own long before these existed.
