Hey Sonny!
I've had one of these in the stash for years but never ventured to build it. This thread has now got me wondering about doing so. Your build so far looks very clean and full of potential. What size wire did the insulation come from? Can't wait to see the next stages.
Cheers,
Jan

Hey Jan, I had one for the longest time as well, being part of an airfix group build made me do this one in a jiff.
I don't know the size of the wire insulation, I just got 2 different sizes I found in my spares box, I think the smaller one is about 1mm diameter.
The 2 main things that really needed work are the support plates (drill out the holes and thin the plates) and the seats.
Otherwise the whole thing builds nicely into a delicate piece of anti-aircraft history

Nice to see one of these classics being built and it shows that they still have potential. Modifications look good and not too complicated. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sonny,
Excellent result. I do l not like to build old kits like Esci, Airfix etc but you show us that such models still have potential.
P.A.

Thanks Alexander! Yeah, I would have stayed away from airfix kits if it were not for my friends asking me to join the group build. And like I said, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the bofors kit. The new bedford trucks are also excellent. Can't say the same from the Universal Carrier, but at this scale, a few bits of scrap plastic and careful painting goes a long way.
I've now got the bedford trucks and WW1 tank in the stash...oh dear
