So for the MENG Technical pickup, the options are:
- 14.5mm DSHK
- ZSU-1 AA gun (is this 23mm?)
- Rocket Pod
- AKs, RPDs, PKMs, RPGs, etc.
Are there any other options such as 106mm RR or 12.7mm M2HB? Due to the lack of Concord Publications books and other photo references, how effective are these pickup-mounted weapons anyway besides just shoot-spray-and-scoot?

You could also mount 50cal, 106mm rr , b10 82mm rr type63 107mm rocket launcher, 20mm oerlikon single and triple
Plenty of other weapons to be found on technicals, if its available someone somewhere has mounted it on a pickup not neccessarily on a hilux.
Dont know how effective they really are but would be frightening on both ends of the weapon probably first couple rounds near target the rest anyones guess.
Here the news reports, heavy fighting broken out last few days with 2 casualties for example, they are probably limited by the types of people using them as well as the system itself.

I know BLAST and ET Models makes the rocket pod and DSHK. Does anyone have any suggestions for other model kit makers for Technical pickup weapons?
Anyone try the new resin tires? I believe they are DToys.

There's a bunch of 1/32 rocket pods in the Trumpeter Russian Aircraft Weapons kit. I would think they'd be close enough to scale.

Of course Frenchy has already been here, was thinking recoil-less rifles as well. That's just all the common stuff. You could put anything you want as long as it fits really. They'd probably even try mounting T-55 turrets etc. if they could somehow move the turret without ruining the truck.

I remember seeing a BMP turret in one as well. I think the photo was somewhere here in Armorama, perhaps in the Technical Campaign a while back.

Here are some technical-mounted BMP turrets :
Trumpeter has released a Type 63 rocket launcher, towed by a BJ-212. Both can be used for a Libyan dio :
Eastern Express made a GAZ-66 with a ZU-23-2 (kit 35132). I guess it can still be found :
IIRC, the ZU-23-2 was also available separately.

Hey Peter- AFV Club #35021 is a recoilless rifle and TOW AFV Club
The recoillless rifle by itself was sold as a bagged kit from Skybow. It's a little harder to find nowadays. Skyboy Recoilless
Both are from the same mold.

Does anyone have any comments on the resin stowage sets, AM tires, and figures? Is there anything really worth getting in the AM world and are these pickups worthy enough to invest extras in?
