Tried to set a homemade decal with gunze decal sol. Long story short the decal didn't set up right and now I a, left with a mess of the dried remains of the decal sol. Ay way to get this off without removing the paint and or painting it over?

Home-made decals can be a pain! (I learned the hard way that ink-jet ones will bleed regardless of how much fixed I sprayed on them , once the setting solution gets to work...)

I'd suggest a mechanical method, with very fine sanding. One of those fingernail buffers would be useful, as they have seriously fine grit - mine has four different grits, one per side. Hopefully you can sand off the residue without getting too deep into the paint layer. It'll screw up the finish, but a fresh shot of glosscoat will sort that out.

Good luck!

Thanks Tom, ended up sanding the area last night with some corus cloth and then repainted. Seems to work and just shot some future on it to seal. Decal fixer should arrive today and tonight we should be off to the races again. Will let you know. Cheers.
