i maing a dio that has a m-3 stuart riding by a sandbag bunker and i was wondering if a .50 cal could be put in the bunker and if so is it still historically corrrect

Depends on it if it is a German bunker or a US one. I guess you mean a US. I think that it is more accurate if you put a .30 in it but a .50 is possible. Tamyia has a kit with a .50 standard in it.
If you mean a German bunker it should be an MG34 or MG42.

A .50 work well historically. Though always in short supply and highly coveted by armor, infantry and support troops, a set position like you describe might will be awarded a .50. This would be particularly true if this were a set position – forward command, supply, radio, prep for counter attack, etc. If they took the time to sandbag an area it had was more “permanent”, then other positions. Remember were the Germans have had months and years to prepare, the ALLIES our on the move and the average GI is not carrying a sandbag with him where he goes.
Of course if it is a German sandbag area then the question is it destroyed, German Occupied or run over and allied occupied?
Geez you guys are getting the creative juices flowing…. I may need to revamp my Trench Campaign idea….
