Hi there,
as I am building a T55/M18 hybrid tank for the Civil War/Proxy Super Power campaign, I am left with a perfectly
good M18 hull.
Before this gets gradually used up for spare parts, I would like to build it with the afore mentioned quad AA gun mount.
Now for the problem, I have seen 1 picture of this on hte net, but I canīt find it anymore.
Does anybody have any info on this vehicle?
I would appreciate any help, no matter how small it is.
Cheers
Paul

From what I've seen, this is the only photo of the only vehicle so-modified. I've been looking for any further documentation on it and have turned up a few documents, but no additional photos.

Hi Paul,
As it is my campaign that has left you with this conundrum from what I have seen read in a posting awhile ago was that the quad was actually mounted on the M39 prime mover chassis, by an AA unit in Korea & they then wrote a report on it's effectiveness
Sorry I not have any pictures of it
Cheers Mike

Here's the original thread with the scan of the HHB/52nd AAA report.

I'm attempting to re-create it in 1:1 scale as well. I've got a spare Quad-50 M55 and I'm working on getting the M39 for it now.

Cheers Mike, as there is very little known about this thing I donīt really know what to do.
Hi Jon, are you serious about the 1/1 scale? If so maybe you could let know how the gun turret sits in the hull.
Cheers

Very serious. Unfortunately, there are only six M39s left and they're currently all spoken for. One of those is in the Army museum system and I may get it on loan, but that's not a done deal yet. I'd prefer to own it outright, but on loan may work just as well for us.
