Hi All,
I'm after some info on 1/35 Iraqi kids for a diorama i'm doing. I'm trying to imagine a US checkpoint with a group of kids around the soldiers, one of who is on his knees with the kids around him and another taking a photograph of them, along these lines.....
I know we have the new meng set, but most of the other Arab kid sets seem to be them wearing the more stereotypical Arab garb rather than casual stuff. I've seen a couple with Afghani clothes on but i dont think they'd be suitable

Sounds like you may have already found a couple of these but just in case. They won't exactly fit your dress code without some modification.
Djiti'sMid East Kid Set Review
MAIM's Young Boys
Djiti's US Soldier and kid
What about the kid in the Masterbox Iraq 2 figure set? Masterbox He might fit the clothing requirements but the pose might not work.
I bought the two Djiti sets with the intention of doing something similar.

Hi Colin,
I had the same problem with clothing on a dio I'm working on.Used some Verlinden with traditional dress,I did use the boy from the Iraq 2 set and now have the Meng set. While waiting for Meng I also used this MB set.Citizenry. East European WW II Era.With very little modifying ,exept for older lady, the rest worked well for the street dio I'm doing.

Cheers for that, i've not seen the Djiti set before, should be worth a try.
i have the masterbox set and i can use the figure, and the MAIM set looks superb.
Now to persuade the mrs that i need a new xmas present
