BMP-3 in Chechnya?

Been lookin all over for referneces for this one. Is or was the BMP-3 used by the Russians in Chechnya? I Have found alot of pics around the net of the conflict, but none showing a BMP-3 in action. Thanks for any help

I do not know if it was used or not, but the Concord Mini Color Series book, Russia's BMP Infantry Combat Vehicles by Steve Zaloga and David Markov has some good reference shots of the BMP-3. It does have one photo of a BMP-2 in Chechnya. Only one, so that leads me believe that it wasn't.

I've never heard of BMP3's in Chechnya... it looks like most russian BMP3s are in Siberia or in schools. In chechnya, there were BMP2s and BMDs...

The BMP3 was used in foreign operations by the united arab emirates in Kosovo, but you'll need to work quite a bit to represent one of these vehicles !
I do intend to model a BMP3 from the UAE but not in KFOR.
