I'm working on an LAV 25A2 with an update set that includes the large rectangular box seen on the cover of the Osprey LAV 25 book below. Does anyone know what it is? Is it part of the anti IED system with the dome antenna at the front of the hull? If so, is there any indication how they're connected? Thanks in advance.

yes, it is part of the anti-IED system. It is attached by wires that run along the hull. Blast Models, LEgend and Blacksog all make sets with this set up in it. If you google their LAV update sets, you can see the wire setup

Thanks. I'm using the Black Dog set and couldn't find any references about this box.

On the Blast models website there are some good photos who show the differents connections.

Alex, thanks for that link. It makes everything much clearer, though now it's back to square one with my wiring!
