New In Progress Figures on Masterbox Site
Posted: Tuesday, December 25, 2012 - 06:14 AM UTC
I was on the Masterbox site this morning and found some stuff in-progress I don't recall seeing announced. One is a set of three World War II Marines with three war dogs, there is box art with them which might mean they are coming very soon; the second is a modern set for Iraq/Afghanistan with a working dog; the third one is a set of World War II German infantry weapons.

It may take a bit of time for Masterbox to get them done, but they usually get their in progress sets done, unlike some companies. The Marines are a definite for me when they come out. They have some of the best posed/animated figures around in styrene in my opinion. I have a rather large stock of figures and since Masterbox came onto the playing field, they are supplanting my old company for them.

They also have a set of modern day tankers that look good also.

You're right about the modern tankers, although they look more appropriate for Desert Storm since most of the M1 crewmen I saw in Iraq were wearing the Interceptor OTVs. The shepard looks like he would be appropriate for Afghanistan given his headgear. Looks like we're in for another good year for figures from Masterbox.

Well if I did it right, one set is with a horse and the other are soldiers riding in the back of a truck.
