I can't seem to find any am parts for Dragon's 1/35 Pz.IV ausf.C Superkit, that aren't included in the box. I don't plan on doing a wreck, so no burnt out road wheels. I also don't intend to build and interior or engine. Am I correct in assuming that there are no viable upgrades for this kit?

Hi Matt ..I haven't checked but try looking for any after market stuff on the B as well since exteriorly speaking they are very similar the only difference you can see is the armored cover for the coax MG..

Thanks Rick. I have heard that the C was basically the same as the D, as well.

Two more questions. I have read that the ausf.C was not deployed to North Africa. Is this true? Also, was zimmerit ever applied to the ausf.C? I have seen zimmerit on the B variant.

I guess my best answer to both is no..There were no C's in Africa and I have never seen a C with zimmerit ..Also I just checked my Panzer IVB kit and guess what, I have an update kit from Voyager for the B/C kit in my box. I forgot I bought that ..lol So there is the answer to your initial question as well .
Oh and last but not least there are quite a few differences between the C and the D models. The most obvious is the armor plate in front of the driver and R/O is straight on the B and C but is uneven on the D and E models also the hull MG ball mount appears on the D model and it was a pistol port on the B and C models.

Hi - not necessarily a Pz IV C specific detail set, but you can get a lot of Aber detail sets such as tool clamps which are much better that the kit supplied ones and of course there is after market track links too. I'll have to check but i'm sure Aber made an external detail set for the C/D versions.

I'm ordering a set of tool clamps for my Pz.III. I should have plenty left for the Pz.IV.
