I am sure everyone has had one of those days when the airbrush Gods have decided this won't be your day? After close to 20 hours cleaning up and asembling the Dragon T28 suspension it was finally the day to finish painting the components so I could lock the running gear and tracks together and glue the sponsons to the hull. Home stretch baby!
Start off the day with spattering all over the place. Crud and darn I said, and off to dissassemble the nozzle and clean it out. Worked for a bit and then started bubbling through the paint cup. Poop and fudge I said, and dissassembled averything and cleaned it thoroughly. Worked well enough to get a first coat down and the tracks painted. Ate dinner and came back to finish up. My formerly rock soild but now traitorous Badger 105 worked for five minutes and started bubbling through the paint cup and around the nozzle. I went through this three more times in a cycle of futility. Finally decided this just wasn't happening today and fully tore the Badger down, cleaned it, and plunked it in the ultrasonic cleaner for an hour. It bubbles there now, mocking me. . .
The one thing I will say is that Vallejo US Olive Drab is gorgeous, first time I've worked with it. Beautiful coverage and the color looks dead on to my mildly frustrated eyes. Also thanking the modeling Gods for their Track Primer as well, beautiful stuff!

That does sound familiar Matt! I reckon you just need to do what you did and strip the offending airbrush down and give it the works before going back to it. Hope the big clean pays off for you!

Been there myself a few times. My ab was not content to just bubble. First, it spattered. Then, it clogged. Then the spray turned to an orange peel effect.
