Hi to all!

I'm buliding a "red" Churchill Mk. III, but I d not know how to paint it. All british equipment made between 1941-1944 were painted Khaki green No. 3 (SCC-2) in the factory.

What I do not know if they were repainted by the Russians or not.
Please help!

Thanks!

They were not usually repainted until they required repainting. Sometimes camo and of course whitewash was applied, but OD and KG were close enough that it didn't matter, as well the provided vehicles often had US or UK serial numbers painted on the side. I'm not aware of the care the Soviets used with touching up their tanks but if so that would have been Soviet Green.

I posted a color photo of a lend-lease Sherman next to a US vehicle. The Sherman appeared to be a couple of shades darker than its counterpart. About Tamiya Olive Drab to Tamiya Olive Green.
