Hey Marco
Max showed me a good way to avoid exactly that happening ...
Just bend the "Frame" of the PE-set into shape, then take the CIPs (Plastic) from your Dragon set and file off the edges (Frame itself) and then insert it into your PE-Frame. Looks perfect when painted !
Cheers

I actually thought that was one of your ideas
anyways, here's a pic to better illustrate the whole idea:
the same panel with some paint on:

Thanks a lot gents !
Max, the Abrams looks great !
But I'm using the PE to fit my M1151 whit CIPs (BTW, can I use CIPs in M1151 ?), and this kit do not have plastic CIPs.
Thank you again !

Hi Marco
I'm no CIP panels expert, but I'm not sure they were still widely used when the M1151 was deployed...(but there is/was a CIP kit available for the M1151 though... Joint Combat Identification Marking System )
The only picture I've found shows a M1151... in Mississippi (2011)

I'm not sure, if I've ever seen a CIP panel on M1151 AFAIK - not.

well, then... I'd try to fix the PE panel, sounds like the easiest solution to me...
apart from that I think verlinden do have some HMMWV stowage set with these kind of panels included, just in case you can't get the PE back in its original shape..
BTW. when I last tried bending PE CIP's I've been using a short, flat metal ruler and a razorblade.
bend the frame first, then the actual panel (doesn't have to look perfect at first), then insert the panel into it's frame and gently press it down, that'll make the ribs line up just a they're supposed to...
Cheers, Max
