Nice find. I see they have a T-64BV in the works. Time to dust off my half-finished Miniarm conversion.

I thought the M1083 was the up armored version what version is coming out with what armor. I see in the fist post by Hisham in this forum is it a plastic kit or a Aftermarket kit to add to a m1070 series truck. I don't understand what type of truck is this a M10? type. Because I want to get one as soon as it comes out is there any on ebay yet.

The truck in Hisham's post is the forthcoming Trumpeter kit of the M1078 with armored cab. The M1083 is the 5ton 3-axle variant :

To clarify, the below pic is of the proposed Trumpeter Up-Armored M1083 (Rirdan Armored Cab) 5-ton version. Trumpeter has not said when/if this one will be available. The square armored cab was only used for a short period of time and only tested on a small number of vehicles. It was subsequently not chosen as the standard armored cab. The LSAC (Low Signature Armored Cab; on M1078 below) was chosen as the standard armored cab for the whole FMTV series of trucks.
The kit that Trumpeter is releasing next month (Feb) is the Up-Armored M1078 2 1/2 ton version; which was shown in the original post and will be featured in a forthcoming review by Seb (below).
Of note, the same LSAC (Low Signature Armored Cab) is fitted to the M1083 5-ton as well. You can swap the Trumpter cabs to get an M1083 LSAC.
Trumpeter has already released the standard cab M1083 a few monts ago.
And the standard cab M1078 (which I did a review of) a couple years ago.

Thanks for clarifying things, Gino!
I hope Trumpeter do release the square armoured cab with the M1083.. it'll be nice to build both cab versions.

OK, thanks for the info and clarification of the type of trucks being released because I didn't want to get the wrong trucks an keep my hopes up for nothing if they don't release it. That one truck is just awesome looking the one with the up-armored cap with the 3 axles.

What is the newest version of the armored cab? I'm seeing trucks with a more refined cab than the LSAC posted above.

For me, till now, this cab depict a truck build by Oshkosh, the low silhouette cab depicting a Stewart Stevenson truck.

Salut Pascal
AFAIK, the LMTV/FMTV trucks were originally built by Stewart & Stevenson, which was later acquired by BAE Systems, until 2009, when Oshkosh was awarded the production.
...but you probably know this already
