Hi,
I've been researching Shermans but I haven't been able to find if M4A1E8 (HVSS) has been used during WWII.
Can anyone help ?
TIA

This is from memory only of reading posts on Missing Lynx so caveat emptor :
They were available and some were shipped but none ever saw combat. I have never seen a photo of one pre end of war.

The search I just did revealed that while it was made during the war, it never saw combat.

Most were sent to the National Guard for use after the war.
The A1E8 is my favorite A1 of the series.
