I want to do a water diorama. Is there any medium that can be poured and you can still see into it. Like a tank comming out of water and can still somewhat see the part that is underwater?

Hey Darrell, there are several options. The one I like the best is enviro-tex, a 2 part resin. You have to pour thin layers so it doesn't get too hot, but you can tint it nicely. I have a dio with a small sampan type boat tied up at a jungle warf but sunk deep at the stern. As you look at the boat you see it disappearing into the dark murky depths. Just tint the bottom layer dark and lighten each successive layer going up. Then I use acrylic gel medium for ripples. Hope this helps. bob d.

Darrell, look at my recent thread of Clervaux-the river, you see what can be done with Envirotex
