This is my next project. A modernised version of Russian T90A made by Ural Vagon Zavod, displayed on fair in Nizhny Tagil. Very beautiful tank, and very powerful, it has the most sophisticated systems Russian military tech can provide. 120mm smoothbore gun, relikt, contact 5 and so on...
This build is part of a bet with my very good friend, and I absolutely have to win it. Which means, i will pay extra attention to make it right, using all my expirience i gained building Oplot M. Wish me luck.
I took Zvezda's T90 kit as basis. Kits turret is quite useless on MS, so i had to make completely new turret out of scratch. Only 2 part were taken from original kit, you can see which those are on the photos.
There are some blueprints for T90 MS on the internet, and I tought this will be easy since i had no such thing for Oplot. I printed it in the 1:35 scale using width of a tank as parameter, and on my misfortune, i realised plans are badly made. Width of a tank is good, bud lenght is wrong, not as Zvezdas Chassis. On the other hand, gun is precisely the right size. So, its good to have it, but i will not make my model strictly with it.
Here are the photos, judge by yourselves what have I made, and please comment, i want to know your opinions.

Best regards!

Hi GUYS;
Simply Said;--- (( WOW ))
If you look up the T-72 & T-90 on the Enternet, you will find the Feature on the T-90MS Tagil. Also you will find Color Profiles of a series of Tanks along with several Line Drawings including the Turret alone. If my Memory serves me rite, it says that the Tagils Hull was Shorter than the T-72 & the standard T-90. A further article shows the Development stage and Different Turrets in the Tests.
NICE WORK GUYS; MIKE.

Greetings to all my colleagues! Stefan, I also built this tank http://karopka.ru/forum/forum217/topic11857/ Your drawings are not correct, they are the result of the 3D model, which makes for a video presentation of the exhibition in Tagil, 2011. You might have noticed that there completely violated proportion? Be careful with this stuff. These schemes from an article in the Russian journal.

Scheme - removed from the projection of the 3D http://www.blive.kg/video:90893/ it's just a visualization, promotional video. So we should think well before you trust these figures. I use many sources of information is very controversial - it is a complex object. Stefan, I wish patience to build, I can help I can. Interesting film about the tank http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRFg3Upzukc and a very good photographic on this topic http://magicmodels.ru/index.php?option=com_joomgallery&func=viewcategory&catid=51&Itemid=31&lang=ru

Thanks a million Dmitry! your t-90 model is impressive indeed
and there and a lot of useful pictures in that link!

Unfortunately it just shows how many inaccuracies has the Zvezda kit

...and I really wish I could understand Russian language

@Timur: Thanks a lot for showing interest, I have all these pics. I think i said in the first post i am not going to use those plans as main reference. It is just there to help keep in sight everything i have yet to make.
Also, I have seen your model long ago, and I have been following it from the beginning, but since i cannot write Russian I keep quiet. It is very impressive build indeed!
One question for you since I suppose you have greater knowledge on this matter. Is it true that MS has shorter hull that T90A and T72? One colegue here told me that, but I cannot find any such information on the internet.

Best regards!

Stefan, The size of T-72/90 and T-90MS is te same. They have identical base of the T-72 tank. Dimensional length of T-90MS, maybe is longer because it has APU in back part of the left board.
T-90MS, the last modernization of this tank because its resource of modernization is over.
Therefore the following step is development of the new tank, that now and becomes

Stephen, building T-90 MS identical with the body normal T-90 and T-72, Dmitri correctly told the details. It's very simple worked: want to put a new tower at the old building of the tank, which is very much in the army - and to get a tank of generation 4 +. It's simple and inexpensive.
