Hello everybody,

After having managed to build a reasonable representation of a steel-wheeld Panther in the Ardennes offensive out of Dragon n° 6370, I want to tackle the Pz IV D (n° 6265, the 3 in 1 kit) as a tank of the "production version" of the May 1940 campaign ...

But : Help !! the instructions indicate alternative options without saying for which version it is ! Is there somewhere on the WWW an online guide in which is explained which alternative to use (there is one for the SW Panther I recall)
Or can an expert among you please explain step by step what I should do to make this an accurate 1940 tank ?

I understand this is one of the best tank kits available, very complete also, but damn, here I sit, and right from step 1 I don't know how to go on !

I'm doing the Ausf D from Tamiya and so far I've figured out that the version used in France did not have the stowage bin mounted on the back of the turret, nor did it have the extra armor mounted on the side and front of the where the driver sits.

Something like my current project:

I just looked over the instruction sheet on line. They seem to mark the different choices pretty clearly where there's an option. The production choices are marked by a blue circle with a "1" in it. The other 2 versions have a black circle with a "2" or "3" in it. Hope that helps.
