Hello
I'm woorking on my Buffalo MPCV. I decided to do a USMC version with ECM Antenna. Can somebody tell me where I should situate cables from a antenna to a vehicle ?
Thank You for help

Hi Chris

I guess it depends on the ECM system you've chosen. This Buffalo belongs to the Army but it's fitted with the Chameleon dome antenna usually seen on USMC vehicles :

When I was in Iraq, we had the DUKE system, and the antenna were put in the same place as the Chameleon is in this picture.

Isn't the DUKE replacing Chameleon across all the services? I know in Afghanistan we had Cougars that had the remnants of Chameleon (no antennae) but had DUKE on them and we had to have the contractors pull out all the wiring and rewire them exclusively for DUKE.

Steve,
No, the DUKE is not replacing the Chameleon in all Services... The Army is moving towards pure DUKE fleet while the USMC & USN is moving to a pure CVRJ fleet. Most MRAPs came from the factory with the CVRJ since the Army made thsaie decision, the CVRJs have been removed and replaced with DUKEs.
The Chameleon system was supposed to be out in the 2010 timeframe but the A-Stan Surge casued it to hang around in the inventory longer as there was not enough DUKE or CVRJ systems to cover the additional troops being sent to A-Stan.

Hope that this clarifies things a bit...
