Interesting with your observations of the discrepancies between the box CAD images (which come from their "poster") and what is actually in the box. I ran into the same thing when examining the Ostwind. Its a bit disappointing as you think youre getting one thing based on box CAD images (that has text like "accurate thing-a-ma-bob" or "details faithfully reproduced") then you realize opening the box that shortcuts were taken and you just forked over $30-50 for a rehash of old sprues.

Hey Stefan, real nice review. Can't ask for a better one really. I do question the company's thought of two separate kits which in reality would probably have sold better as a two in one. Bet even to odd money they will bite the bullet on these two. I would have been more prone to P/U if it was a two in one. The Tamiya jeep is still the better buy as far as I see it. To scratch build the armor plate and straps and the mounting post would be nothing to most of us. Yes, some fine decals but the cost is ridiculous. So when I look at this kit, I think, what is the advantage besides some P.E. and decals?

Yes, personally, if I was to build a Jeep I would give first considerations to the Tamiya for ease of build and the Bronco for details (though I've yet to see one in person).

Just noticed that one pic slipped in there with a comparison to the Tamiya wheels. Was initially planning a comparison review to the Tamiya kit but decided against it. Don't know how that pic slipped in there...

As soon as I get my hands on a Bronco Jeep I'm planning a triple comparison build feature. It's also a good excuse for another order from Hong Kong. Now to find more arguments for SWMBO...
