Nige,
Just had a look through a book:
U.S. Military Wheeled Vehicles by Fred W. Crismon
and nothing on the L9000, however they did trial the 5ton F6000 (6x4).
In the book there are plenty of other Commercial type trucks that are available in 24th/25th scale kits. If you want I can post a list of these for you.

I do not believe that the LT9000 was used by the US military they had the M915 family instead. For what is worth, in the world of 32nd scale snap tite trucks there is nothing that the us military used.

Nige,
Apparently I'm a little late to the party! Oh, well, better late that never, I guess.
As far as I know thwe US military never used the Ford LT9000, or the LNT9000 for that matter. The LN8000 & LNT8000 are available from AMT in 1/25, while a long hood conversion is available in resin from Plaskit.
The 1/32 Revell Monogram Ford AeroMax120 is a LTLA9000. The US Army does have one of these that they use to pull their display trailer to State Fairs & such. It's a nice shiney black, and it should be at the New York State Fair again this August if you would like me to get some pics of it.

Hi Jim
Not sure what my friend on the other site is thinking of doing now as he has had a few folks tell him they had not been used.
He may look to do a what if so maybe the truck you are talking about might appeal to him for inspiration.
Thanks in advance
