Ola Guys
I want to share a project that I'm working on at the moment.
If you have to ride into battle you might as well do it in style . This is SMA's Mercedes Benz 320 staffcar. Resin kit with white metal parts and some PE that I'm building as something quick to finish.
Built stage
Primer and preshade
And after half an evening of throwing paint at: it a nice layer of grey.
Next up: More painting.
As always curious to any feedback.

Robert, Your Mercedes sure looks like a solid build. Looking forward to seeing it completed.

Ola guys
Thanks for the kind words.
@Joel.
I can't wait either. I have a pretty funny idea for a diorama but that is still far away. First finishing this car.
@Christopher
The white metal wheels and other parts was something SMA did a lot in their kits. I have a couple of Stoewer Kubelwagens that even have a white metal chassis. Pretty cool. Gives a bit of weight to the model as well

Thanks for the compliments and thanks for bringing that campaign to my attention. I just enlisted there. It works pretty well as a motivator to finish things.
@ Cliff

And back with an update. Got some time at the bench and started to do the detail painting. There is still a lot to do but it is going somewhere. Painted the Tires, The floor and the footboards in a diluted black over the grey which makes for a nice anthracite color. All the canvas parts were painted in a shade of sandcolor. Bumpers and lights got a coat of silver. Nothing is highlighted or shaded yet. Just the basecoats. Also managed to drop a door which got a bit of damaged spots in the paint. Going to respray that tomorrow.
More paintflinging will follow soon. After that washes, filters, pinwashes and an assortment of weathering. With a sidedish of mud.
