Anyone know the colours these were painted? They look 4BO green possibly from the photos I've seen (with obviously German markings) but I can't make out whether they have a light brown/buff camouflage on them also ......or is that just mud?

To me they seemed a kind of light grey colour, but either way, you can paint them any colour which seems right, since the vehicles in the movie weren't historically accurate anyway

I've got a spare T-34/85 so instead of another Russian version (which I'm doing now) I was thinking of doing something a bit different in a few weeks, like a movie tank. I haven't got the film on dvd but from the photos it's hard to tell what colours they are. They look green to me but maybe one was painted more grey so you could be correct.

Some screencaps here .
How about that, found from Google Image Search
Looks like a grey-green, like Tamiya Field Grey.

I remember that movie, one thing I always found odd was the movie detail using these T-34s.
I think they really were to represent German tanks....big red/white numbers with usual Balken Kreuses(sp?)...the tankers are wearing black panzer uniforms with Russian type helmets.
Also, what looks like a German panzer Div. symbol on the right front fender of one of the first tanks on the bridge.
Even all the fuel cans and smoke generators are removed to give em a German feel.
Funny combinations but who cares right? heheh
