The Meng Merkava is a really great kit that does not require much other than glue and paint. If you are looking for something that builds easily out of the box and looks very accurate, I think this is your kit.

The Tunguska is a great looking vehicle, but it seems that this kit will requiere some extra work to build it and to improve its accuracy -take a look at the Russo-Soviet forum here in Armorama to see some comments about this kit and get a better idea of what I mean-
Iīll say that Mengīs Merkava 3D is the best choice of the kits listed, but donīt know about the AMX 30...

Having built the Meng kit- it goes together ridiculously easy without the need for any aftermarket. The Legend Detail set is the only think I added. If Meng
s AMX-30 is anywhere close to their Merkava kit, it will be a great choice too. There is a build for the Heller VBCI on here someplace- seems much better than Hellers last things. Trumpeters BMP kit looks like typical Trumpeter- good fit. Can't speak to it's accuracy. I do not have the Tunguska. I have built Panda's MATV and while a good kit, it required a lot more work than a standard kit- vague instructions, lousy fit in places. I'd rank them:
Meng Merkava
Meng AMX-30
Trumpter BMP-1
Heller VBCI and Panda Tunguska

Hi all and thank you for the replies!
It seems that meng merkava has a good amount of positive comments.I've noted that it needs the anti-slip coat..that it's not so difficult to depict.
At this point I'll wait to see some build log about the AMX30...it seems to be a very cool model as I suppose will be also the AUF1 when it'll be released.
Thank you again for your comments!Cheers

Hi Guys;
Every kit is going too have some detail that people will say needs improvement, there are No Perfect kits. Some are Better than others thats for sure, it should be up too the Modelers likes and dislikes, and how much they want too improve it. This Forum is Great for this Purpose, it offers a kit Revue from Great Modelers. The BMP-1 is suppose too be a Outstanding kit and id follow JDs advice on its Accuracy.
Can it be Improved on. ! Just Ask JD.
CHEERS; MIKE.
