How good is the Italeri M-107 model? I want to use it in a Vietnam diorama, but is it worth it, or is it a piece of junk? Do the pieces fit together good? Does it have decals for Vietnam? How accurate is it to the actual M-107 OOB?

I have the M110 (same thing, different barrel) and except for the infamous Italeri tracks as quoted from a Cookie Sewell review:

"Italeri has also been singled out in the past for nearly inflexible vinyl tracks (the M107/M110 series comes to mind first in this area) where the tracks are hard to wrap around wheels, hard to install, and will not conform to the wheels in the case of unsupported track runs."

The kit is actually quite Good. Here is a review and build:

Barrel Depot makes a rather good barrel for this kit as well and quite cheap to boot. I don't know (except for MK and Fruil) who make tracks for it!

Please note that recent re-release of M107 from Italeri (in greenish box) contains new tracks!!! The level of detail is the same as previously (not that bad actually), but they are made of much softer vinyl and they are just as flexible as any other good vinyl tracks!

I have both the old and new release kits of M107, so I was able to compare them directly.
