The original Skybow kit did not come with the regular windshield. At least mine did not, nor did it include the rear "tailgate" piece.
It would be nice if the AFV Club reissue contained those pieces.

Yes, I remember asking that question, getting the positve answer, buying the Skybow M38A1C w/recoilless rifle, and finding out for myself. Hence the second sentence in my original post. Maybe I got a different boxing.
I've got another pair kits (Revell of Germany 1/72 M2A2 Bradley). Both in identical boxes, one contains parts and instructions for both the M2A2 or M3A2 and the other only parts and instructions to build the M2A2.

I double checked my unbuilt kit and it only includes the split windshield frame and open tailgate. There is an extra ½ windshield glass part left over from the regular kit, but that's it.
Don't not buy it on my account though. It is a nice kit. Perhaps the AFV Club boxing of the kit will be an all-in-one version with the parts required to build both variants. I did notice that AFV Club has boxed their Wiesel's TOW with the former Skybow 106mm recoilless rifle together in one box.

I remember commenting in the original thread - and I think I stated - that my example of the kit was pre-production. This one did come with both options. However, since I already had one, I didn't purchase another for quite sometime into the production run of the kit. Obviously, the extra sprue set was deleted...

I'm eagerly waiting for the release of this kit by AFV !
The skybow kit is a it expensive... so, as usual, the re-release should be more affordable !
PS : I've got accurate armour conversion for an israely CJ5M waiting for it !

VLS has the M38a1c listed (AFV Club & Skybow). The price is about the same as the one not on clearance over @ Squadron.
