A question: All AAV-7 vision blocks are direct vision type, correct?

If yes, why the HB transparent parts have this "insert"?




Do I need to remove this? Or witch color do I use to paint it?

I have several AAV kits in the stash and never noticed that Maybe you could cut off the lower part but I guess this would make gluing them more difficult

Here's what the 1:1 ones look like :





Too bad they did make them like Calibre 35 M26 cupola vision blocks...

That's exactly what I thought. Direct vision and the kit's transparent parts need to be trimmed.
