Do you all know anything about this new kit? Italeri's US Armoured Gun Truck?

http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=IT%206503

Looks like the old M923 with a couple of new spruces added.

I wouldn't waste any money on it.I've done a gun truck before and with a good base kit truck there's nothing they've added that can't be done with a little styrene sheet and parts from your spares box.

It's a shame they didn't go with the truck they had initially advertised. This one is a big letdown. The actual factory guntruck that they originally posted as the upcoming vehicle would have been a great kit.

This one:

I'll stick with building my own or wait to see what Legend comes out with.

From looking at the sprue pics posted, they haven't fixed anything on the truck. It is just a mix of their previous M923 and M925 kits with the added parts for the armored box, another .50 cal, and a the gunshield and mount for the rear .50 cal, all added onto the wheel sprue from their M923A1 kit (below). It also looks like there are some basic parts for the wheels to make it an M923A2 (w/CTIS) truck.

I'm not impressed at all.

O, OK, thank you for pointing that out to me. Haven't checked the news much. So the wheels do not seemed to be updated at all? That was the most annoying and disappointing part of the old M923 kit!

Legend does indeed plan one. For now though, the M923 upgrade is a must. It corrects a lot of the original kit's deficiencies.
