Ciao Sergie,
for M977 and M978 HMETT kits, I can highly recommend ProArt Models update sets. While not cheap, the provide all parts neccesary to update the Italeri kits inside and outside.
Cheers

Ciao Sergio,
if you want to build an accurate M978 model, I recommend PAU 35001 and PAU 35002. One kit is for the exterior details and on kit for the fuel pump unit. Also Eduard PE set for M978 and Real Model resin tires. I know t`s quite a mouthful of AM parts but their worth the money. But on the other hand, WHEN will another plastic company finally release a state-of-the-art HMETT family???

Well, I'm afraid you'll have to scratchbuild the fuel tank if you don't have it already...You've said in your first post you had an Italeri M977/M978 kit. Is it the Chinese reboxed combo ?

Ciao Sergio, I do not understand why you want to built the tank when the italeri already made a full box of the truck.
You have only to, if you want, to go deep into details with aftermarket item.
ciao

Sergio- I have the complete set of Pro Art detail sets for the M978 HEMMT. I have it partily started. Go to Prime Portal and look over the detail pictures on the M978. The Fuel Pump module from Pro Art is good, but has a few missing things. They did not include the anti-static wire and reels and the fuel hoses each have a square roller assembly to allow the hoses to be pulled off the reels. thses are the two most noticable things I can do from memory. I also got the engine kit from Real Models. That fills up the ugly kit attempt at an engine compartment.
Good Luck
