Hey guys.
My LHS also buys your unwanted kits and re-sells them. I found a pre-owned Italeri Tiger P kit and thought, that'd be nice. It'll go along with my Italeri Elephant.
Wondering how good is it? Any major fixes needed? The price seemed a bit off, but when I got home and opened up the re-shrink wrapped box I got a surprise. Tucked away inside the box with the kit sprues was a Cromwell Productions Resin parts set. Parts look nice, even has zimmerit coating.
I don't know what I will do with the kit just yet, but I would like suggestions for AM track set.
Thanks.

Working from memory, I think the Italeri Elefant and Tiger(P) both had guide horns on each track link, This would work for the prototype Tiger(P), but not on the later Ferdinand/Elefant or the command Tiger(P) used by the 653rd used in Poland for a couple of months in 44.
For the command vehicle I would recommend going with Fruil late Ferdinand/Elefant tracks.
These version is very old, so I hope you will not be a stickler for accuracy. I will be using my kit to build the prototype and the RammTiger(P).

Hi Comrade,
This is a decent kit. If you want to do the prototype. If you want to do the one that saw service, your better bet was the Dragon one. I am adding a link to my build, where Eddy Nevarez is providing plenty of tips and inspiration.
Fun kit, enjoy!

Edit: I have plenty to learn!

Hi, Tom Cromwell did a nice (nostalgia trip) review of the Italeri Tiger (P) about a year ago, you can view it here.
Presume this is the kit you're referring to.

Not quite, but I do have it as well.
I saw that Tiger P build, one of the reasons I bought the kit when I saw it.
I'll probably build it as a what if, give myself a bit of freedom, and I do want to use the resin parts I got which include a production turret. I do eventually want to get my hands on the Dragon versions of these kits.

Hi Comrade.
About AM tracks...when I built an Italeri Tiger I could find NONE that would fit the sprockets. I had to replace the sprockets with some from a dragon kit.
I was then able to use a set of AFV Club tracks.
Hope this helps.
Mike.
