I'm looking for a close-up of the comanders hatch (the inside) of the M1A1 painted desert-tan, Did a google search but couldn't find any, thought maybe one of my fellow-builders had one...

No, they never do, unless it's rusted. This is the original color of this tank, although it has been painted twice now. It was desert tan in another incarnation.
