well Chrysler was an American Automotive company, it looks to be a proto type futuristic design from the 50's

Speaking of populair science magazine this allthough strictly speaking not Armor is my favorite for the simple fact that it is purely uncut awesomeness

I have never started the Schmidt kit and it still sits untouched in my collection of Schmidt vacuform kits I have collected over the years. 2 or 3 bananaboxes full of them. I probably will never build them but so far I have not yet gotten myself so far as to sell the lot on ebay. They still go for interesting amounts of money and I happen to have a bunch of very rare ones.


I guess I misinterpreted what you said. I thought you had actually started one.

Well, it certainly is American. Chrysler ran the Detroit Tank arsenal and took it over after the war. The tracks are straight off a M48-M60.

I'm sure I've seen it in my Hunnicutt Patton book on US Medium/MBT tanks.

Found it! It's the Chrysler TV-8 mock-up from about 1955 in answer to the ASTRON project proposal cycle.

It was in my Hunnicutt Abrams MBT book.

Oh, and if you want oddball models of which there are kits, the M50 Ontos has to be right up there for weird. Academy makes a kit that's only somewhat flawed...
