I recently got the German color set AK interactive makes. All of the paints are airbrush ready and do spray quite easily. I just have yet to find that "magic" setting to get the paints to spray perfectly. I tried thinning and that made the paint too thin. If anybody knows of the proper psi to use for these please let me know. I can get a decent spray out of them, but not a nice smooth spray. Help please.

I have never dealt with AK International paints, but I would assume that if says airbrush "ready" then there already pre mixed. It may come down to the pressure that you are spraying. I usually keep mine between 15 - 20 psi. For finer lines, i'll go all the way down to about 10 -12 psi. What sort of airbrush are you using? Is it in fairly good shape? What sort of finish are you getting? Whats the condition of your compressor? Also, the finish from your primer is important as well, this helps the final finish of your model. Good luck!

Im using an Iwata BCR, it is only a few months old, brand new compressor, and they are already mixed. I am going around the 15psi mark. They are extremely accurate colors though.

When you say "not a smooth finish" what exactly are you getting?
