A couple new kits are coming from Meng in 1/35 scale, and it looks like there may be some excitement.

It and others from Nuremburg were discussed yesterday in the meng from Germany thread. Great news and great to see a bulldozer for a change. I'd like to see more construction vehicle kits like scrapers, older bulldozers etc.

Could the list include some other modern tracked vehicles like the Hagglunds BV-206 and the Viking BvS10 ? Please? In 1/35 plastic with lots of PE thrown in like slat armor?

If they make the CAT D9 in civilian version (without the window armor), that would be great too!
Imagine...FINALLY a model that's non-military and all the AM figures and accessories of Construction workers, styrene beams, figures, and 1/35 pickup trucks. MENG could literally dominate the 1/35 construction business! Or even gold mining, logging, trash bulldozer, etc.
I suspect construction equipment is hot since there's so few of it.

Yeah, with a bit more, we could do a diorama of the @$$clowns on Gold Rush.

True that! I took pictures of an armored cab cement mixer during an open base tour. They could release one of those too

It's about time some kit manufacturer started doing construction models. The only construction models at the moment are poorly detailed (apart from a few like First Gear) vehicles in 1/50th.

The model will be with individual track links, MAG machine gun, movable hydraulic pistons and rotter, full cabine and interior, transparent windows, very detailed suspension.
The D9R was measured so all dimensions are 100% proved.
Desert Eagle Publishing book will be on the D9L, D9N, and D9R, but will concentrate on the D9R, including stripped bulldozers in maintenance.
All in all, I deamed for years that one of the companies will do a 1/35 engineering equipment, just because it is so "mechanical" and technical. Not sure if these are the definitions.
The 2 companies that did the 1/72 and 1/35 in resin, did a great job with minor discrepancies, but the prices are so high, due to the production method and the amount of resin and number of the parts.
The new wave in the plastic industry, is enabling the consumer to spend less money and less strugle with construction issues.
This model is another mile stone in the new wave of Academy, HobbyBoss, Tamiya and Meng Models, that are offering us such a large variety of IDF 1/35 Armor.
It is strange, as I still remember one of the known producer that told me : IDF subjects are obsolete. US subjects are the future". He was wrong. IDF subjects are live and hiting strong.
