Hey guys. Just ran across this, while looking for something else. Does anybody have more reference photos of the BMP 2 with slat armor?

I get the feeling that it's just an arms expo special model and not an actual service vehicle. It does have Naval Infantry markings though, so maybe I'm wrong?

At least two were produced. That's good enough for me. I've been meaning to try my hand at slat armor, for some time now. Thought this would be original and accurate.

Yes this is a Pic of a Demo, for a Arms Show. There are a number of companys offering this type of conversion for the BMPs, Poland & the Ukraine make this type of Slat Armor.
there were a small batch of BMPs seen in Georgia used by the Soviets, but i think they were Ad-hoc attempts by the local work-shops at Batt,-level. If my memory serves me rite , they also used them in Chec,- 2nd war.

The one pic-is the same one that i have in my Library, it was in one of my Defense Mags; and was an article about the BMP-2. I like that Conversion also, & was hopeing Voyager would make it. Ive Built 8 Bmps, both 1 & 2s for my collection. The last one was a BWP-1 used by Poland.
Im Looking Forward too the Trump,- BMP-1 real soon.
