Recommend a Sherman

I've never built a Sherman. And since reading a few Sherman books I would like to build one. Preferably one in Canadian use, as I am half Canadian. So what kit would you guys far more knowledgeable than me recommend?

Check out Tasca. If this is a little too pricey, Dragon makes a couple of Canadian Shermans at reasonable prices.

Bill had it right. TASCA!!!!
You'll most likely be looking for a Sherman V or a Firefly VC. While a little more costly the Tasca quality and fit are amazing. Ultracast make Canuck decals as well, and resin stowage.
Have fun!
Eric.

Thanks Bill Tasca it is then. I may even share my build on here. But I must warn you all my build standard isn't all that great.

If you're not married to a Sherman V or VC there are other options. I just finished a Tasca Sherman III in markings of Canadian 1st Hussars since my wife's grandfather was a driver in that unit. You could also build a Sherman II or IC in Italy with the GGHG, Governor Generals Horse Guards' (or God's Gift to Homely Girls).
Ultracast decals are great, but Archers Fine Transfers does Canadian markings as well. They're easy to work with and their s&h can't be beat.
Cheers
Jeff
(p.s This might be your first Sherman but don't expect it to be your last.)
