A thing of beauty! That's what you get for standing in the middle of the road, during a firefight.

One of the best proper dioramas I have seen for a long time. Any student of modeling would do well to study what you have done. Congratulations and Thankyou for sharing.

Yes it is Matt, I build it with some Eduard PE sets and barrels from RB.
A lot of stowage added, some I made myself.
Hobby Fan commander and driver, inside two Hobby Fan marines and two Verlinden converted figures.
They all have Warriors heads, Live Resin didn't exsist in that period I was working on this project.

Hey Paul,

PERFECT.That somes up my opinion.
Probably a stupid question, but is the building totally scratch built? If so then even perfect isn't a good enough comment.

Very,Very, Very Nice work. Just a suggestion however that your figures might be re-arranged due to crossfire. You wouldn't see these guys in that situation. If the SHTF you'd be risking friendly fire on your buddies.

This scene is taken after heavely fithing between Marinecorps infantry troops and Insurgents who have been overrun. AAVP7-A1 is just rolling in and Marines are forcing this wounded guy to get down on his knees.
Don't worry the machinegunner won't fire anymore....ET

Building is scratchbuild indeed...

Paul,
Congratulations on a great job overall. Great scene, great story, great layout. Particular kudos for the building details (satellite, water tank, air conditioner), and the accurate Arabic signs. Well done!

Hey guys,
In a copple of weeks I will release a highly detailed 1/35 resin modern building, this you can use for Iraqi or Afghan scenes. ( or for example Operation Just Cause )
It's for sale, but it is gonna be a limited edition. Within 2 weeks I will show a diorama with this building, Iraq scene.

Definitely reminds me of Fallujah, it's got the feel of it. Great job on this scene!!! I do have a suggestion for future reference, try to avoid showing rucks on the dismounted figures. Full size packs stayed on the vehicle, you wanted to stay light when dismounted, camelbacks and patrol packs were commonly seen.

Youre right John, the figures where allready done before I started this diorama.
This diorama was kind of a tryout, it's even getting better from now on.
At this moment I'm working on a new street scene ( new building ),
the building gonna be for sale.
I hope you like it, in future I'm planning to make a lot of other things related to Iraq

Feel free to pick my brain about anything related to USMC and Iraq, I served with Marine infantry units on both deployments and I'm happy to help in any way I can.
