Can anyone tell me what kind of helmets these Syrian BMP crewmen are wearing (Russian, I imagine) and maybe tell me where to find some in 1/35th scale? The miniatures helmets I've been able to find don't look quite right to me.
It seems those FSA snipers are getting to be a real headache!
Thanks guys!

Hi,
as far as I know and can see from a lot of pictures on the web, the Syrian army is using serbian military helmets M97. This is an upgrade of the modern french helmet BBI:

They look pretty close to the first generation US kevlar helmets. Maybe grab one of those old Tamiya US Army Infantry sets and use the helmets?

I'm doing a scene with a Syrian Army/Security Forces figure in it- I have him wearing a beret but his helmet will be nearby and I am just using an old Verlinden US helmet as it looks roughly the same shape.
