Just wanted to check on if anyone knows if the Bronze Green that Vallejo has released is appropriate for Cold War era British armour?

Thanks,

John

I don`t know the answer to your question regarding Vallejo paint, but Iv`e found that Tamiya rattle can TS9 British Green is a good match.

Yes indeed it is a pretty good match, especially if you their Bronze Green primer first.

Malcolm and Keith,

Thanks for the thoughts gents. Just got back from one of the 'local' LHS and they did not have either the Spray TS9 or the Vallejo primer.

Keith, I have part of my Chieftain primered with Tamiya white right now. Should I have another color or did I misunderstand you. DId you mean use the Vallejo primer itself or that dark undercolor with the 'regular' Vallejo Bronze Gr over it?

Either way, might end up having to order online.

Thanks again,

John

My Chieftain model has been built for many years and the paint wasn't available then, so I primed it with Black.

However, my Ferret mark 5, and Austin Champ have been 'primed' with the Bronze Green 'primer' and will be completed with the airbrush color, with flat Black camo on the Ferret..
