I just received the Lifecolor Israeli Combo Set. It contains 3 pigments and 3 acrylic paints. So far so good! The problem begins with the paints which are the following:
(1)UA 901 IDF Sandgrey 1
(2)UA 902 IDF Sandgrey 2
(3)UA 903 IDF Green
The instructions in the back of the box mention nothing for the first, as for the second that it is the color of Lebanese war and '70-'80-'90 and concerning the third, the green one indicates the today color for Merkava, Achrazit and Nagmachon. This is were the confusion begins! Are the nowadays Merkavas painted in green color???? I thought that the main color of Merkavas before 90's was a sandy yellow which is close to the first (UA901) (or close to HU72) and for the last years a more brown color as the second (UA902) which is more brown sandy (or close to HU84). See the following thread's picture: http://www.militarymodelling.com/news/article/israeli-paint-and-pigment-combo-set/13020. Am i correct or am i confused? Any help is welcome!

This is the exact topic i have read in the past and have concluded that the colors are not green! Maybe Lifecolor confused things by saying that the latest color of IDF Merkavas is green! It would be better if they did a better research!! I think i will keep in mind that ''There is no Gray, or green in the IDF Tank colors.''

I believe the newest paint scheme for IDF armor is a green.

I made some tests and i ended to the following:
(1)UA 901 IDF Sandgrey 1 is a very light yellow sand color more suitable for US afvs and not modern IDF tanks.
(2)UA 902 IDF Sandgrey 2 is the same color with Humbrol 72 and suitable for a weathered modern IDF AFV.
(3)UA 903 IDF Green is a classic green color and nothing more.
So among the three colors only the UA902 is suitable for IDF armor! I think i will forget this set and insist to Hu84 or Model Master 2138 (Israeli Armor Sand Grey) or Vallejo IDF Israelí Sand Grey 61-73 Primer (FS30372)

I hope the pictures will be visible and forgive me for the quality!
I can assure you that HU84 is more brown in the picture than in reality and MM2138 has a greenish appearance. UA902 is the most grey of all, with HU72 following, while Vallejo Primer is an idea of pink-grey! As you can see the green color of Lifecolor which is mentioned to be the modern color of IDF is one more usual green!!!

Hmm... I'm using Lifecolor Israeli Sand Grey 1982 (FS36134, LFC-000035) and it seems like a good match for 1980-2000 vehicles. I would suspect their Isreali combo would consist of this one. Is it UA902, or is UA902 a completely new mix? A bit confusing...

Green is definitely a no-no with IDF vehicles.

And some more:

Mario i think that UA902 is pretty close to UA035, but in the photo seems to be more grey than it is in real thing I also agree that the green color (UA903) and the more sandy one (UA 901) are not suitable for modern merkavas. Concerning the rest i am confused Hu 84 and MM2138 are quite close to each other with MM2138 been more greenish and HU84 more sandy brown. HU72 and Vallejo 70.614 are also close to each other with Humbrol being more sandy yellow and Vallejo more sandy brown! I think that the winner is UA902, HU84 and for a more weathered AFV HU72!
