This is looking great. Up to your usual standards. What brand kit is the LCVP. The Verlinden one? Was thinking about scratch building one myself. Your eye for detail is very keen. I knew something was up when you asked for info on the vest's the sailor's would be wearing. Another "grand scale dio" in the works?

PLEASE...keep us posted and keep adding more pics to your gallery.

That looks great! You might not be satisfied with the fina lresult but its looking damn awesome so far!

The addition of figures is really what brings a LCVP alive. Where did you get the figures from?

KG ,

The kit is the Lindberg one not the over expensive Verlinden kit.

Reimund ,

Thanks for your kind words.
For what the figures concerns the are from the Warriors kit no 35433 ( USMC LVT(A)1 CREW )
I only used the two gunners and replaced the original heads for Hornet ones .
And i scrached the ' vests ' with Kids dough . Witch is a very good substitude for Milliput or Putty .
The only thing is that when you add the Kids dough and store the figure in a place thats is to warm the dough cracks and you have to fill those gaps with putty after all .
But overall i will use the Kids dough for this kinda work in the future .

Cheers

Did Verlinden do a LCVP? I think the resin/plastic kit is the Fondier one, correct? Verlinden does the LCM-3.

I like what you did with the Lindberg kit...I have one stashed away for just this purpose as well..rebuilding.

Looking excellent, only thing I would mention is the gun-tubs, very thick and need replacing/thinning-down a bit, for a kit of that age its not bad at all. You have done a superb job with the figs...Jim

That Lindberg kit ain't half bad, and for half the price of the other oe, looks like the way to go. Hopefully when I get around to wanting one, someone will be making a really nice one at a decent price. But.....what I've seen in this pics is quite impressive. The figures are outstanding
