With the 100th year anniversary of the start of WWl coming next year it would be nice if the larger model companies started tooling up for some early armor. Not that I'm a big fan of WWl armor, but it does have an important place in tank history, and it would be a welcome break from Tigers, Panthers, Shermans, etc.

At least a Renault FT-17 tank is in Italeri's pipeline...

It would only take 1-2 new tools each from the major companies to give modellers every WW1 tank so lets hope they put the effort in for the anniversary!

I can imagine companies such as Airfix and Revell will be doing something special for it at the very least!

I'm big on WWII but I would to have one or two quality WWI peices on the shelf.

It would make a good campaign even.

I, too, would like to see some quality WWI kits come out. Of the few available now, most are really inaccurate and a major PIA to build.

I have a RPM FT17 kit, and quite a few AM sets to fix it up. Need to get it started before the flood of WW1 models come .... wishful thinking maybe, but nearly everything else that I had in planning, buying AM stuff for, has been released in the last few years!!

If the plastic model companies have any interest in these forums they have at least a year to do some homework and tooling for a model. Actually they have until 2018 for something decent, but why keep us waiting? At least some figure sets from Dragon would be very welcome. Come on, Dragon, Tamiya, Trumpeter, et al. This is your chance for some fresh sales!

Looks like ICM got the drop on everyone else with their WWl infantry sets.

Let's not forget Masterbox, they have a WW I figure set among their in-progress stuff.

When I heard the news about these figures I was very interested .... that wa until I read the reviews and heard some comments locally. So I dont think they got the drop on anybody!!
If WWI figures are your thing ... check out the Tommys War resin figures. Just beautiful!! Theres another company releasing a line of German figures as well ... havent bought any of these or seen them live, but images look very promising.

A company called Toro (Italian, I believe, not the Polish Toro) had an A7V, but probably long gone and OOP.

Toro's A7V only vaguely resembled a real A7V and was, by _all_ accounts, an absolute pig of a kit. It's disappearance is not mourned.

Notwithstanding, I still have one in the stash. Ther reviews & build reports have completely put me off ever builting it.

Yes it would be nice to see offerings of any number of German, British or French light trucks or automobiles. Or if we are wishing perhaps a mobile de-lousing oven?

If the data for items can be sourced, then I can make accurate CAD models, which could be 3D printed and used as resin masters.

The challenge is getting the costs right, and getting manufacturing interested. I have been discussing the possibility with one producer, however it is early days.
