Hi all,
I would know if the Iraqi National Police has a standard way to paint their vehicles.
I've seen their hmmwv's but there are differences in the use of the insignas or in the use of the arabic letters.
Generally their vehicles, from what I can see,are painted in blue and white but....not all vehicles have an insigna or letters.
Do you know if the US vehicles (bought by the Iraqi Police)are painted in the US production line just in blue and white colours or these colours are applied on the field?!
Is there a previous topic like mine?!
Can you help me?!
Regards
Ciro

I can't answer the question as well as you'd like, but here are a few that I rolled with a couple of times. Sometimes "IP" appears in large block letters, sometimes not. I don't know where they were painted, but the paint (I looked closely because I knew I'd model one) appeared to be applied professionally. I don't know if we still sell LUVs in the states, but the smaller truck is one.

Two more. Some weren't as friendly; some weren't as lucky.

Hi Robert,I see....thank you.
From the photos that I've collected after my researchs it seems that Iraqi police has,as basic point, the blue and white colours.
IP are not so used even if the paintjob is professionally done,so I assume that if I want to depict a model in the Iraqi police marking I can simply paint it in blue&white and if I have a specific photo whit IP I can apply them...
Do you have something with m1117?!
Cheers
Ciro

I do not. I do have a few thousands of photos to pore through though. Here are a few IBP. They're black and white, then went to a different paint scheme with green. One truck shows the IBP on the hood similar to how IP did theirs, but looking at my photos, IP was not nearly as common.
Anyone recognize the "Meng" figure? I think he's somewhere in these last few posts.

My bad, just saw you're PM. Didn't notice it at first. Unfortunately that's all I've got for IP vehicles. I've got some more of Iraqi Army ASV's but they are just standard tan.

Yes Kuba,
I've seen the photos and for the humvee is relatively simple to do something cause there are some good references but I'm not modelling an hmmwv so I've also asked to Steve(Thank you however STEVE!!!)some help but it seems that mine is a long shot.
Who knows?!maybe someone has some pics...at least I'll do it (m1117)in sand.
Cheers and thank you!
