Over the past few years, I have acquired a good size collection of resin figures and busts that will take me years to paint.. assuming I live long enough
My question concerns storing resin figures. Are there any problems with storing resin for a long time? Should I just keep them in their regular boxes.. or should I maybe store them in some of those kitchen air-tight containers?
I just don't want to leave them as they are in the closet.. and then a few years down the road discover that they're all warped out of shape or full of holes or whatever. I just don't have any experience with resin.
Thanks
Hisham

A possiibly silly question, but...

Unless stored somewhere hot you should not notice any changes in the products. If they do get hot like any resin product they can warp.

Yeah I second Darrens Reply. Try to avoid getting them in too hot places since there is a chance they will warp. Plus if you expose them for a longer period to direct sunlight they will discolor turning the figure to a more orangy shade (this happens only to the creamcolored resin) giving the impression the figure in question is a member of the Jersey shore cast. However it will not affect the paint.

Thanks for your replies, guys.
I'm mainly concerned about the unbuilt figures being stored for a long time. Here in Egypt, summer is almost 8 months out of the year, but I do have the air-conditioner running almost all the time.. so, I guess they'll be OK in the closet.
I guess paints and cement should also be away from any heat.. so, they should all be OK in the same area with the A/C running?
Thanks again for your help

Paints should probably be ok if stored in a drawer or something. As long as it is not in direct heat and sun.
CA glue evaporates faster in warm/humid temperatures that is best kept cool. I use a lot of it so it is usually empty before it gets bad but My dad who uses his glue occasionally keeps it in the fridge.
As for other cements I really could not say. Our summers usually look like fall anyway. I can imagine that in warm environments Tamiya Extra Thin evaporates faster as well when kept open. That is if you are remotely like me and forget to screw it shut constantly.
