There are two figures standing on the right side of the lower embankment. There is something between them, and I'm thinking it might be a German Shepherd standing on it's hind legs, with the front paws on the hips of the guy on the left, and his head turned toward the photographer.

Am I imagining this?

Does anyone have another interpretation?

Here is a photo at the other end of the trestle which is a bit sharper. Is it a safe guess that the guys in knee-boots nearest to the camera are officers?

What about the middle guy on the railway car? I figure a senior officer is overseeing the whole operation, perhaps with someone else managing the process, or specialist assistants, and supervisors both on the car and on the ground. I'm assuming everyone here is military with no civilian railway workers - unless perhaps the engineer-operator of the Faun?

There's 3 guys on the left under the counterweight who look like they might be engineers vs. laborers, or maybe junior officers.

I'm finding that I'm much more attracted to specific scenes (like this) than individual pieces of equipment, although cranes and tracked bridging carriers are currently at the top of that list, along with the Bailey. I wish there was a 1:48 Bilstein currently available.

thanks, Charles
