What color would I paint cobblestones? This would be in Germany WW2?
Thanks

There's no such thing as a standard cobblestone color.
They range from very dark grey through light grey, and that grey can have blueish tones or hints of brown/sand.
In some cases, the seams between two stones are darker than the cobblestones themselves, in other cases, the seams are more pale (mostly when there's sand in between). Sometimes the area between two cobblestones can be filled with grass, too !
Such would be the case with the roads less traveled (literally). In the countryside where you have narrow cobblestone roads, the middle of the road could be pretty much overgrown with grass ( the wheels or carts and cars are unable to reach the middle of such road since it isn't broad enough to allow that). That allows the grass to grow in the middle, whereas the outside of such road (where the wheels reach the cobblestones) would be free of grass...
