As you may have noticed, I have severe ADD. So, here is another beauty I've been working on. Don't worry. I will finish my other posted builds, when I receive parts for them. Without further ado, on to the photos.

This one is waiting on workable tracks. Expect periodic updates on painting and weathering.

I'm guessing this is the Dragon PzKpfw IV Ausf C you've asked about before? Are you planning on painting the spare track links in base color or will they be painted separately?
Oh, and is that preshading you've done on the edges? If yes; How will that show through the layer of base paint?

nice start.. perhaps a knocked out/rusted hulk? so hairspray on top then really attack the top-coat to show the rust through (guess that is not rust but hull red (or whatever the correct term is)....
as always, look forward to updates

Might want to get rid of that glossy surface before you start throwing down pigments.
Why is it completely down to primer?

The glossy surface is a result of the paint not being dry. The "primer" matches the pigments I will use. And, it will add to the overall effect.

What effect? That's what I'm asking. If it's a rusting hull, why is the tank completely 'perfect'? The fenders are perfect, the wiring for the headlights is still there, none of the grab bars are bent at all. It looks like it just rolled off the factory floor without paint.

I intend to add a base coat of German Grey to parts of the model. I would have started, today but I accidentally purchase Tamiya Dark Grey because it was behind the one jar of German Grey at me LHS. I will be returning it tomorrow or Thursday.

It looks very nice. I can see why you didn't want to show it belly up.

Where is the glossy surface? I see small reflections on the gun in a couple of shots, but otherwise it looks flat to me.

I'm avoiding the glossy areas. I figure I will have to seal the pigments with another coat of flat. Not entirely sure why the first one didn't take.

Certainly not overdone on the weathering bit. Might be the pictures, but it looks like some panels doesn't have any weathering at all. Like the vertical panel where the drivers view port is located.
Looking at your Pz IV, I just realized that I forgot to lighten the panels on my Wirbelwind. Crap..

Thank you for the comments.
I'll have to pick up some more oils, next time I go by the craft store. I originally did them in black, but filled it in with pigment. I do plan to cover a good portion of the engine deck with either a tarp or air recognition panel.

Got some of the tracks done.

I should finish the run and start on the second run, today. I also continued the weathering, on the hull. I'll post more photos, later.

Some more progress. I'm about done with the hull and turret. I should finish the tracks, tonight; suspension, tomorrow. Here's the progress.

Hey Matt, your pigments look a little too randomly applied, for the uper hull, usually a light dusting, no fixer, water or white spirit whatsoever, just loose light pigments, would be more appropriate, with the thicker stuff reserved for the bottom.
a small investment, it may be worth picking up the black star weathering booklet it has so much good tips and stuff in there. its about £4.99 from spain.
hope that helps J

I haven't clear coated the kit, yet. The pigments are easy to clean up. The engine deck, turret and front hull will be covered with stowage. The fenders will also have stowage; mainly tools. Here is some of the stowage, set in place. There will be a canvas covering the stowage, on the engine deck.
