Yep....in the area of arnhem we had both brick and cobblestone roads. In the cities and vilages it was mostly brick an in the country mostly cobblestones.

What color brick, greys, browns or combinations?

Bricks are red and redbrown and the cobblestones grey.

How about the main road north out of Arnhem..... was it paved, blacktop style, or gravel? hehe I'm talking about out of town, not on the outskirts of town :-)
